Not knowing the meaning of certain words in a passage of Scripture can be compared to the frustrating discovery that you don’t have all the pieces to your puzzle. Until you know the meaning of certain words, you will not be able to grasp the meaning of the whole passage. They fit together to form a story or a paragraph in a letter (i.e., the big picture).
